Peter Overton – Managing Director
Peter has 20 years experience in the construction and property industry. After completing his Carpentry & Joinery apprenticeship in Hobart and being awarded the National Apprentice of the Year Award by Master Builders Australia, Peter continued his education completing a degree in Construction Management and diploma in Project Management.
Peter’s experience has involved working with: Cunic Constructions (apprentice Carpenter), Lend Lease (Project Engineer), and UGL Services (Project Manager). Peter has experience in all states of Australia, as well as international experience in Taiwan. This includes small and large residential, commercial and industrial construction with project values of US$200M+.
Peter enjoys watching his three young sons grow up, loves AFL football and most sports and looks forward to getting his woodwork workshop set up so he can enjoy, and teach his sons, his hobby of fine woodworking.
Sharon Overton – Business Manager
Sharon grew up in Canberra and completed a Bachelor of Commerce in Management Science, majoring in Maths and Statistics. She started working for the Department of Finance as a graduate in 1999, completing her Master of Management in 2006. After working on the Federal Budget, and providing data analysis, policy development and project management in various areas of the Department, she finished her work with the Australian Government when she moved with her family to Tasmania in 2010.
Having three sons in 26 months, Sharon developed a passion for accessible housing while pushing a side-by-side twin pram and she is enjoying bringing this passion into the building industry. She is part of the Clarence Access Network, a member of the National Association of Women In Construction and was invited to be a board member of Independent Living Centre Tasmania.
Sharon enjoys going out for brunch with her family, she competed in Irish Dancing for 15 years, and her love of baking and experimenting led her to create her own Soothing Herbal Balm and learn how to preserve fruit, make jam, elderflower cordial and soap.
David Marshall – Site Supervisor
David has specialised in being the best builder he can be. He loves it.
David has experienced almost every aspect of the Hobart construction industry having 20 years experience in residential and 20 years in commercial construction. This has involved 10 years of self employment and at least 20 years as a working supervisor. Projects have ranged from alterations, up to major Hobart projects valuing $12M+.
His knowledge and talent is enormous and Lifetime Homes is fortunate to have David on the team.
David has a great personality, easy to get on with and can sure tell a good story. He is diligent, hard working and has a strong work ethic. He will ensure your home is built to the highest standard of quality.
David’s interests are varied and wide ranging, but particularly sports and the outdoors. Basically anything that gets his mind working or is interesting. David loves anything relating to animals (except spiders).
We also have Paul, a longstanding full time qualified Carpenter and Mitch and Lucas, our apprentice carpenters to ensure our work gets done to program and the quality standard we expect.
